  • Where She Grew Up
    • Her name is Ravyn Vale, the pen name under which she builds the worlds that have lived in her for decades. She was born during a snowstorm in Cleveland, Ohio in 1987, and maybe that’s why she's always been drawn to stories that spark warmth in dark places.

Throughout her life, Ravyn has lived in Ohio, South Carolina, Georgia, and Oregon. Georgia, despite its heavy humidity she never quite made peace with, remains the most beautiful place she's ever lived. Something about its trees, its light, and the way everything seemed alive with quiet magic still calls to her. She hopes to return someday
  • Her Writing Journey
    • Ravyn has been creating stories for as long as she can remember. She wrote her first poems at twelve, filling notebooks with emotions she didn’t yet know how to explain. By high school she had moved on to short stories, little universes scribbled between homework and part-time jobs.

In her late twenties, Ravyn fell in love with fan fiction, which became her training ground. It taught her pacing, character depth, tension, and how to keep readers whispering “just one more chapter” far too late at night.

Now, at thirty-eight (almost thirty-nine), Ravyn is writing her first full-length novel series, The Fire Court, beginning with The Burning Bride. It is a story born from everything she loves: fantasy, emotional intensity, morally complex characters, slow-burning danger, and worlds shaped by both myth and memory.
  • A Mom's Inspiration
    • Outside of writing, Ravyn is a mom to seven wonderful kids. She has four daughters, one son, and two bonus daughters, ranging from toddler to young adult. They are her chaos, her joy, her grounding, and the spark behind almost everything she does. One of Ravyn’s daughters lives in heaven, and her light is tucked gently into every story she creates.
  • A Creative Life
    • Creativity has followed Ravyn all her life. She has been a graphic and web designer since age twelve, mostly for the fun of watching ideas take shape and turn into something real. She is also passionate about nature photography, especially capturing landscapes, quiet moments, and the kind of raw, unposed beauty that happens when no one is expecting it.
  • Gamer Ravyn
    • When she is not writing or taking photos, Ravyn is usually gaming. She is a long-time PC gamer who loses track of time in World of Warcraft, Prison Architect, Heroes of the Storm, The Sims, and nearly any creative builder game. She also plays Mario titles on the Switch and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on the PS5 when she wants something more intense.
  • She's A WWE Fan
    • And yes, Ravyn is a dedicated WWE fan. Wrestling nights are a full ritual in her house. She watches weekly, yells at the TV like they can hear her, and fully embraces the drama, spectacle, and storytelling of it all.
  • Shaped By Stories
    • Ravyn’s life has always been shaped by stories. Some she has read, some she has written, and some she is still finding the courage to tell. The Fire Court Saga is her first step into the wider literary world, but it is only the beginning. She has poems, short stories, fanfictions, and fragments tucked away everywhere, waiting for their turn.
  • Ravyn Thanks You
    • Thank you for stepping into these worlds with her, for supporting new authors, and for letting stories like hers find a home. Ravyn hopes the Fire Court feels as vivid and alive to you as it does to her.

If you want to follow her on this journey, or walk into the flames beside her, welcome. You’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
